How do I create a new flashcard set?
Tap the + button on the Home screen to create a new deck. Give your deck a name,
then add cards one by one by tapping Add Card. You can enter a front (question)
and back (answer) for each card. Your deck is saved automatically as you go.
How does spaced repetition work?
Flash Study uses a spaced repetition algorithm (based on SM-2) to schedule cards at the
optimal moment for memory retention. When you study, you rate how well you recalled each card.
Cards you find easy are shown less frequently; harder cards come back sooner — so you spend
time where it matters most.
How do I track my study progress?
Open the Stats tab to see your overall study streak, cards reviewed, and
performance over time. Each deck also has its own progress view so you can see how well
you know the material within a specific set.
Can I edit or delete cards after creating them?
Yes. Open a deck, tap on any card, and select Edit to update the front or
back text. To delete a card, swipe left on it in the deck view or use the edit menu.
Changes take effect immediately.
Is my data stored securely?
Your flashcard data is stored locally on your device and is protected by iOS's standard
app sandboxing. We do not transmit your card content to any external servers.
Your data is also included in your iCloud or iTunes backups if those are enabled on your device.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
Email us at flash.study.flashcards@gmail.com with
a brief description of the issue or your idea. For bugs, please include your device model
and iOS version — it helps us reproduce and fix things faster. We read every message.
Privacy
Flash Study is built with your privacy in mind. We do not sell your data, and your flashcard
content never leaves your device. The app collects only the minimal anonymous usage data
needed to improve performance and reliability — nothing personally identifiable.
