Flash Study: Flashcards ("Flash Study", "we", "our", or "us") is an iOS application built to help you study smarter. We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

1 Information We Collect

Flash Study is designed to work entirely on your device. We collect as little data as possible:

• Flashcard content — the decks, cards, and text you create are stored locally on your device using iOS standard storage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.
• Study progress & statistics — your review history, scores, and streak data are stored locally and used only to power the app's spaced repetition features.
• App preferences — settings such as theme, notification preferences, and display options are stored locally on your device.

We do not collect your name, email address, location, payment details, or any other personally identifiable information through the app itself.

2 How We Use Your Information

The data stored on your device is used solely to provide and improve app functionality:

• Displaying and organising your flashcard decks and cards
• Scheduling card reviews using the spaced repetition algorithm
• Showing your study streaks and performance statistics
• Saving your personalisation settings between sessions

None of this data is transmitted to our servers or any third party for analytics, advertising, or any other purpose.

3 Data Storage & Security

All your data is stored locally on your iOS device and is protected by iOS's built-in app sandboxing and encryption. Your data is included in iCloud and local iTunes/Finder backups if you have those enabled — this is controlled entirely by your iOS settings, not by Flash Study.

We do not operate any servers or databases that store your flashcard content. Because data lives on your device, deleting the app will permanently remove all associated data.

4 Third-Party Services

Flash Study does not currently integrate any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or data collection services. Should this change in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated and users will be notified.

The app is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect certain usage and diagnostic data as part of their platform — this is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

5 Children's Privacy

Flash Study is suitable for users of all ages, including students and younger learners. The app does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since all data is stored locally and no accounts are required, no personal information is transmitted or stored on our end at any time.

6 Your Rights & Choices

Because your data is stored entirely on your device, you are always in full control:

• Access & export — your cards and decks are always visible and accessible within the app.
• Edit & delete — you can edit or delete any card, deck, or data at any time from within the app.
• Full deletion — deleting Flash Study from your device removes all associated data permanently.

7 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app or applicable laws. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of Flash Study after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
